Album Descriptions: Red Vinter - Ghost In The Fog (2026)
Mike: Our first LP, Lumbering Menace, ends with the song Escape Velocity. That track chronicles the departure from Earth - in order to escape the menace found in the dark side of humanity. At the end of the song, the journey takes an unexpected turn as the ship accelerates beyond space and time.
The new album, Ghost In The Fog, begins with ALT/SPACE, an atmospheric intro that builds from the end of Escape Velocity before leading into Cryptic Site. This one tries to capture the experience of just what the travelers find once they escape space and time, a place beyond understanding. A dimension full of awe-inspiring wonder and the instinctual terror of the eerie unknown.
Metaphorically speaking, sometimes it's best to face our challenges instead of running from them.
The album builds on these themes with the tracks Swamp Flesh (being chased by your fears), Dreadscape (the soundtrack for the fictional reality we create when we have anxiety and panic attacks), The Cell Inside (the prison we allow our whispered lies to put us in) and Ghost in the Fog (what it feels like to lose yourself in the fog of life's struggles). All-in-all, it's nine songs that explore the mental and emotional challenges of battling through modern life.
