Behind The Artworks: laCasta - Olibanvm (2026)
The cover of “OLIBANVM” fits perfectly within this conceptual framework, serving as a visual
representation of the sacrifice necessary for transcendence. The iconography evokes an archaic
and ritualistic aesthetic: elements such as blades, resins, wounds, and smoke suggest a sacrificial
act suspended in time.
The smoke of the incense — a central element — becomes a visual and conceptual metaphor:
spiritual ascent, but also dissolution. The burning matter consumes itself to generate something
ethereal. In this sense, the cover is not just illustrative but functional; it represents the very process
staged by the album — combustion, transformation and passage.
