Behind The Tracks: Ary Maudit - No Intention (Single) (2026)
“NOINTENTION” came from a period where I stopped trying to force meaning into everything and
started writing from instinct instead. A lot of the music I had been making before felt tied to
expectations, what I thought I should sound like, or what would make the most sense strategically.
This song was the complete opposite of that. I wrote it in a very immediate and honest way, without
overthinking where it would fit or how it would be perceived. The title reflects that mindset: no
agenda, no performance, no calculated image behind it. Just emotion happening in real time.
The production process was also very personal and hands-on. As an engineer, I’m naturally detail-
oriented, so I wanted the song to feel raw and vulnerable while still sounding cinematic and
expansive. The track went through multiple versions before it landed where it is now. The early
demos were much softer, but over time, I realised it needed more tension and energy to fully
communicate the feeling behind it. I started layering heavier textures, wider guitars, vocal
harmonies, and more aggressive dynamics, and the final version became this collision between
intimacy and release.
Lyrically, the song explores emotional detachment and the conflict between wanting connection
while also pushing it away. I wanted the writing to feel fragmented and instinctive, almost like
thoughts happening in real time rather than a perfectly structured narrative. The artwork became a
big extension of those themes too, it shows me sitting on a sofa looking directly into the camera
while two people behind me are making out, completely disconnected from my presence. It captures
that feeling of being physically there but emotionally excluded, which sits at the core of the song.
