In this new interview, we sat down with the Polish Rock/Metal band Beyond The Event Horizon to ask questions about their album, "Contact".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

"Contact" is a sonic manifestation of our experiences since we formed in 2010. It’s a dense, unpredictable, and transgressive record. We like to think of it as a bridge between the human world and something far beyond our senses—a sound that balances on the edge of a black hole.

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

The title "Contact" refers to a pact we made long ago. After being abducted and shown things beyond human comprehension, we were sent back to Earth with a mission: to create music that serves as a calling signal. This album is our attempt to reach across the universe and finally establish that connection.

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

We don’t follow a traditional hierarchy. We are haunted savages who compose through collective instinct. We meet in our rehearsal space and literally squeeze our emotions into our instruments until something emerges from the noise. We are self-taught disciples of chaos, ignoring textbook rules of harmony.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

It’s hard to choose, but if we must, we’d pick Echo of L.O.O.T. because, with this one, we welcome a new entity that will reach beyond the event horizon with us.

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is, what is it?

The message is about breaking boundaries and defying the established order. We want to show that there are no frames or limits except the ones we impose on ourselves. It’s a call to embrace the "aesthetic of unrest"—to look under the skin and find beauty in chaos and abstraction.

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

Only Echo of L.O.O.T. has lyrics, so...

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

We are like sponges—we soak up everything. Our inspirations range from art and literature to quantum physics and raw, brutal life experiences. Everything is fuel for us. We don't filter the world; we let it ferment inside us until it explodes into music.

8. Something to add?

We are an insult to the established order of creation and harmony—and we love it. We’ll keep making noise until THEY finally come back for us. Stay tuned, because we’ve only just crossed the event horizon.
