Behind The Artworks: Fogos - Of Wyrm And Men (2026)
We contacted @nayla_darkart at the very beginning of the composition process of the album. Her black-and-white style matched very well with the continuity we wanted from our first album, but it also had a new, grim, and almost lascivious touch that was already being reflected in the new lyrics we were writing. We approached her to use some of her illustrations, and finally, we chose these two illustrations (Disappearing Body for the cover and Sacrifice Offering for the inside of the album), as they symbolized the songs 'Näga' and 'Circlefall', and the two main themes of the album: the monsters inhabiting the human soul and the decay of mankind.
There have been some false accusations regarding AI usage on the cover. These are completely false. Nayla is an Indonesian artist with a long catalogue that can be cross-checked by anyone and has published covers for many metal albums in the past. Her technique is based on pointillism, a technique widely used in Asia and also by tattooing artists, giving that ethereal and surreal feeling.
