Interviews About Albums: Season Of Melancholy - In Sleep (2026)
1. What can you say about In Sleep?
It is a very personal work. We started writing songs for this album during the COVID-19 pandemic, and then the full-scale war with Russia began.
Throughout this entire time, we worked in difficult conditions - without communication, without electricity, and under constant shelling.
This work is very dramatic and interesting in terms of its stylistic character.
2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?
It is a reflection of a person who wants to leave this life in their sleep, without confession or farewell.
The album begins with the intro “Stage 3 / Deep Sleep,” which serves as an introduction to the first phase of sleep, while the final phase is death.
3. Which one is the composer of In Sleep?
We write songs as a close-knit team. We can have a great riff or melody come from any member, and then we all contribute to and develop the compositions.
It is a complete synergy of the whole team.
4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?
Maybe Down in Rage. It is a really cool composition stylistically.
It has elements of Gothic Rock, Metal, and Folk, and it also contains a poem in Ukrainian, even though the lyrics are written in English.
5. Is there a special message in In Sleep? If there is, what is it?
To appreciate life and the people close to you, because everything can end in a single moment.
6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?
7. Which inspirations have been important for In Sleep? Like musically, or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank specially?
First of all, our loved ones and our families, who believe in what we do and support us.
A huge thank you to our close friend, Ukrainian sound producer Gennady Pugachev, who created this sound for us and helped us gain an incredible studio experience.
And of course, to all our fans around the world. Without you, none of this would make sense.
8. Something to add?
Thank you for being interested in our work! Cheers!
