Behind The Scenes: TIGERLEECH - Otoshimae (Official Video)

Sheby (Singer): I had this idea about dancers for several years. Metal music videos are often very similar, and incorporating a contemporary or break-dancer breaks with convention.

Antoine Ody, the dancer, is a friend of our drummer, Adrien. He is a dancer and actor with theater training. He is a self-taught break dancer, tectonic dancer, and techno dancer. He works in theater, where he sometimes uses dance, in comedies and events. It was also a challenge for him because he is not used to dancing to this kind of sound and rhythm. When we told him about the project, he accepted immediately.

When we all agreed on this idea for a music video, Adrien contacted another friend, Nicolas Fonticelli, who has a production company. He mainly produces rap videos, but he liked our project. We shot it in his apartment for a few hours because it was very physically demanding for Antoine to do several takes in a row....

Otoshimae is a Japanese term.

Among the Yakuza, when a subordinate disobeys or disrespects a superior, he cuts off the last joint of his little finger and offers it as a token of his commitment. I (Sheby, singer) adapted this act to a love story in which a girl asks her lover for pieces of his body as a token of love.

In the music video, Antoine the dancer ends up with blood and bandages on his body. He didn't want us to cut off the last joint of his little finger (lol).
